Several nearby communities are presenting National Night Out events in addition to the Arlington Heights National Night Out event at North School Park, Arlington Heights Road and Eastman Street [INFO and MAP] just north of Northwest Highway and Arlington Heights Road.

Arlington Heights National Night Out includes a large number exhibits from the Arlington Heights Police Department, Arlington Heights Fire Department and several other crime-fighting agencies on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Prospect Heights
The Prospect Heights police and fire departments and park district will hold their National Night Out event from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Gary Morava Center, 110 West Camp McDonald Road[MAP]. The National Night Out event Tuesday, Aug. 5, is a family-friendly program enjoyed annually by the residents of Prospect Heights. The Prospect Heights Park District, Police Department and Fire Protection District invite you for an evening designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support and participation in local anti-crime efforts and strengthen neighborhood spirit and community relations. Join us for a night of FREE open swim, FREE food for the first 200 people, bounce house, games, prizes, and music. McGruff Crime Fighting Dog will be in the house. There will also be a demonstration of a crash scene and tours of fire and police vehicles. Please call 847 394-2848 for further details.
Rolling Meadows
National Night Out Festivities return to Rolling Meadows in 2014, and will run Tuesday August 5, 2014 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Rolling Meadows Community Center, 3705 Pheasant Drive [MAP]. National Night Out Rolling Meadows includes a performance by the Jesse White Tumblers, arts and crafts, snacks and beverages, and fireworks.
Schaumburg
The Schaumburg Park District will be participating with Schaumburg police in the National Night Out and the neighborhood is invited!
This event at Meineke Recreation Center is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness as well as strengthen neighborhood spirit and generate support for local anti-crime programs.
Schedule
6:30 to 7:30PM:
Schaumburg Police Department’s officers, bike and motor patrol; state representatives; and the fire department will all meet and greet with participants.

DJ and music
7:30 to 8:30PM:
Open swim in Meineke Pool.
This event is free. Barbecued concessions and drinks will be available at an additional cost.
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is designed to:
Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs;
Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are
organized and fighting back.
