Botlr (Bot, As in Bot+ler, Butler); The First Hotel Robot

... #ad▼

If you plan to stay in Cupertino’s high-tech Aloft Hotel in the near future, don’t be surprised if you open your door to a 3-foot-tall robot carrying extra towels or breakfast.

The Botlr is the first of its fleet and is still in testing. TechCrunch put Botlr through its paces tasking it with the delivery. The little android, outfitted with a fancy collar and racing stripes, brings small items from the front desk of the Aloft hotel to the rooms of customers. Botlr can handle elevators on its own and scoots along at around one to two miles per hour.

Alex Wilhelm hangs out with Botlr, the first hotel robot.
