Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 3:20 PM Sunday to a report of an animal bat bite at Cutting Hall, 150 East Wood Street Palatine, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a woman was bitten by a bat. The bat is reported to have flown away after leaving the building.
Cutting Hall is maintained and operated by Palatine Park District. The theater was built in 1928 and was part of the original Palatine High School.
According to the park district website, Cutting Hall is utilized by various theatre companies from around the area, as well as film screenings. The Park District also utilizes the space for programs for children, the Palatine Concert Band, and many other Park District programs, including theatre, dance, and the Palatine Children’s Chorus.
The main floor seats 366 people, and the upper balcony seats 66 people.
