A bicyclist, who lives in Arlington Heights, was struck by a car Wednesday about 5:00 p.m. at the intersection of Heaven’s Gate and Miller Road in Crystal Lake.
Kevin R. Young, 28, was traveling east on Miller Road at Heaven’s Gate at about 5 p.m. when a Chevy TrailBlazer driven by Jacob Regul hit the bicyclist near the south entrance to Indian Prairie Park near Indian Park Elementary School.
Jacob Regul, 30, of Lake in the Hills, was traveling west on Miller Road and tried to turn left onto Heaven’s Gate when he hit Kevin R. Young while he was heading eastbound, according to a release from Crystal Lake police.
Young was transported by Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Rescue firefighter/paramedics to Sherman Hospital with serious injuries.
Crystal Lake police ticketed Regul for driving with a suspended license and failure to yield when turning left.
