VIDEO: A man riding his motorcycle was seriously injured in a collision at the intersection of Wilke Road and Campbell Street.
Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:00 PM Saturday to a report of crash with injuries at Wilke Road and Campbell Street Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a motorcyclist was seriously injured in crash with an SUV in the intersection.
Police were first on the scene and requested that the paramedics expedite to the scene.
A witnesses at the scene said the motorcyclist was a male victim, and was moving after the crash. Witnesses at the scene said he appeared to have a serious arm injury, and was bleeding from the head. Two witnesses said the male biker was not wearing a helmet.
Arlington Heights firefighter/paramedics transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital.
Rolling Meadows firefighter/paramedics checked the occupants of the Toyota SUV, but the two occupants of the vehicle were not transported to a hospital by paramedics from the scene.
Rolling Meadows firefighter/paramedics and police also responded to the scene. The crash jurisdiction was in Rolling Meadows at the border with Arlington Heights. Rolling Meadows police were investigating the crash scene.
Apparently a Toyota SUV was driven northbound WIlke Road and turning to westbound Campbell Street, and the motorcycle was apparently southbound on Wilke Road. The crash details were not confirmed by police.
