Arlington Heights police received a report about 4:46 PM Saturday of a theft of catalytic converter at a shopping center parking lot, 615 East Palatine Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders removed a catalytic converter from a vehicle.
The victim reported that their green 2004 Chevy Cavalier 4-door was making a loud noise when it was started. The owner knew immediately that the catalytic converter had been stolen.
The victim’s vehicle was parked on the north end of the parking lot in front of Best Buy.
The crime is reported to have occurred on Saturday, April 19, 2014 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:45 p.m.
