Arlington Heights police received a report about 3:01 AM Sunday of a residential burglary at The Point Apartments, 1601 Woods Drive Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders burglarized a cyber-cafe and gym at the apartment complex.
An apartment resident who noticed the theft arrived at the cyber-cafe at 3:00 a.m. and called management to report he noticed the room was in disarray and that he noticed several items missing.
The surveillence cameras at the facility were damaged and/or removed. Cameras in the gym were working and undamaged.
Police discovered closed, unsecured, unlocked windows in the gym.
The following items were reported missing from the Cyber-Cafe:
3 computers,
a printer,
a flat screen TV, and
a DVD player.
A small flat screen TV was also reported missing from the gym area.
The crime is reported to have occurred between Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 3:00 a.m. The gym and cybercafe is open 24-hours via combination lock access.
