Mike Ditka Restaurants proudly announces the opening of a Ditka’s Restaurant at the Arlington Trackside Off-Track Betting (OTB) facility located on the grounds of Arlington International Racecourse at the northwest corner of Euclid Avenue and
Wilke Road in Arlington Heights.
“I’m very happy to be involved with Arlington. They do things in a first class manner,” said Mike Ditka. “I can’t think of a better location than Trackside at Arlington. It is exciting to be opening a third Ditka’s in Chicagoland.”
“We are excited to able to team with Coach Ditka to bring this kind of quality restaurant to our customers and to the people of the Northwest Suburbs,” said Arlington General Manager Tony Petrillo. “His restaurants are known to have the same high standards as Arlington.”
“This is a winning daily double between Arlington and Ditka’s,” added Arlington’s Howard Sudberry. “I’ve known ‘Coach’ for many years and he doesn’t do anything halfway. ‘Coach’ knows he can’t just put his name on the door and leave it at that so he demands the same excellence from his restaurant team that he always did from his players.”
The plans call for a Ditka’s Restaurant to operate in the dining room area on the first floor of the facility which will include space for private dining and banquet options with off-track betting areas located on half of the main floor and the entire second floor.
The conversion is already underway with the goal for Ditka’s Restaurant to be open for business by July 2014.
In the meantime, Arlington off-track wagering operations will continue during construction and once remodeling is complete Arlington Trackside customers can expect a state-of-the-art off track facility that is one of the finest anywhere.
