Chicagoland weather radar [LIVE PRECIPITATION TYPE RADAR] shows rain and thundershowers have moved to the east. Drizzle could linger until noon, with a little shower or sprinkle until 6:00 p.m.
Satellite images show the trailing edge of heavy clouds passing to the east. Higher clouds with cloud ceilings at 1200 feet and 4100 feet exist over Chicagoland at 10:00 a.m. Clouds are forecast to decrease after 6:00 p.m.
Gusty winds from the west southwest are forecast to peak about 3:00 p.m. at 44 MPH. Gusts are already over 30 MPH.

Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 44 about 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Windy, with a west southwest wind 20 to 25 mph increasing to 25 to 30 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph — diminishing after 4:00 p.m. to about 20 mph at 2:00 a.m.. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
