All trains on the Metra Union Pacific Northwest line were stopped about 7:00 a.m. for a pedestrian incident near the Norwood Park station. Metra train #605 hit a pedestrian at about 6:50 a.m.
A 17-year-old boy wearing headphones was struck and killed by the train. The teen was walking to the train with a relative, and apparently did not hear the train.
