After a police chase that ended about 1:00 p.m., and marked the beginning of a police standoff, Andrew Felton is in custody at about 9:40 p.m. Felton is a Chicago-area resident wanted by Henry County (Georgia) Sheriff’s Office in connection with the murder of his wife, who was reported to have been beaten to death with a hammer.

Henry County Sheriff’s police contacted Harvey police about the GPS location of a vehicle (a black 2005 Chrysler 300) that was wanted in connection with the murder of his wife, Sheray Latriest Felton. She was found dead in her home in Hampton, Georgia. Harvey police located the black 2005 Chrysler 300 at about 12:24 p.m., but the driver in the car fled and a pursuit began on northbound I-57 about 12:29 p.m. and ended with a crash on northbound Lake Shore Drive near Fullerton Avenue at about 12:50 p.m.
Police negotiations and a standoff last until about 9:40 p.m. when the suspect was placed in custody.
Henry County Sheriff’s Office police initially contacted Harvey police on Saturday for a police officer safety alert and notification about the possible whereabouts of Andrew Felton and his recent classification as a murder suspect.
