Chicagoland weather radar [LIVE PRECIPITATION TYPE RADAR] is all clear at about 8:25 AM. Friday. Some precipitaion is moving across the Mississippi River, but is dissipating rapidly.

A TOTAL of almost 5 or 6 inches of snow accumulation is possible from Friday evening through early Monday morning.

The next chance for precipitation is light snow starting late Friday. Flurries may start about 6:00 p.m., but significant snow is not expected until about midnight. Very light snow is expected to continue on Saturday. 1.0 inch of snow may accumulate from 6:00 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday.

Very light snow is forecast to increase about 6:00 p.m. Saturday. Following the 1.0 inch from Friday evening to noon Saturday, another 4.7 inches are possible from noon Saturday until 6:00 p.m. Sunday. Another 0.2 inch is possible overnight Sunday/Monday.
