UPDATE: Unfounded … the reports of a shooting and a gunman on the campus of the University of Oklahoma today, Wednesday, January 22, 2014 were false, according to the school’s president, David L. Boren.
Police at the University of Oklahoma say a shooting has occurred on campus and are telling everyone to shelter in place.
The University of Oklahoma posted a notice on its website Wednesday that people should avoid Gould Hall. A notice sent by its Twitter account said: “Seek immediate shelter in place.”
Normal campus operations have resumed except for Gould Hall where additional checking is continuing.
