Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:34 AM Tuesday to a multiple injury crash at Northwest Highway and Williams Avenue Palatine, IL. Firefighter/paramedics reported two vehicles with moderate damage.
Palatine Fire Department Quint 83 was also on the scene and reported a vehicle ran into them at about 7:46 a.m. The second crash is believed to have occurred while the Quint fire truck was on the scene for more than five minutes. At this time it is unknown if any firefighter/paramedics were on board the truck when it was hit. There were no reports of any firefighters injured — not confirmed.
At least three victims were injured at this scene. At this time it is unknown if there were injuries from the second crash involving Quint 83.
Ambulance 83, Ambulance 82, and Ambulance 84 were on the scene. At least two victims were transported to Northwest Community Hospital, and at least one victim was transported Alexian Brothers Medical Center. Palatine Fire Department Squad 85 and Battalion Chief 8 were also on the scene.
