Arlington Heights police arrested a DUI driver 1:01 AM Monday near Arlington Heights Road and Wing Street Arlington Heights, IL. The driver was observed in a white Ford Focus 2-door northbound on Arlington Heights Road drifting across lane lines and speeding. The vehicle did not immediately stop after police activated emergency lights, but eventually the driver stopped vehicle after turning onto Wing Street.
Police observed the driver with slurred speech and alcohol odor coming from her breath.
The woman became combative after she attempted to walk toward her vehicle and refused to get in the back seat of her patrol car.
Police transported the driver in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. The driver’s vehicle was towed to a police holding area.
The offending driver was identified at Heidi I.
Muhlenbruch, age 44, of the 1300 block 13th Avenue, Des Plaines.
Police report she as three prior DUI convictions

Improper lane usage
Speeding
Failure to yield
DUI per se
Driving with a revoked license
Driving an uninsured vehicle
Court date is December 18, 2013.
The Assistant State’s Attorney approved felony DUI charges.
