Crosby lives to swim another day as a five-year-old Golden Retriever is rescued by Wellesley, Massachusetts firefighters after falling through the ice on the Charles River.
Wellesley (Mass.) firefighters rescued a dog named Crosby that fell through the ice and into the Charles River on Sunday afternoon after a woman was walking her golden retriever in the Elm Bank Reservation in Wellesley when Crosby fell into the water while crossing the icy river.
During her 9-1-1 call, dispatchers told her not to try to go out on the ice, because it was too risky. Two firefighters wearing special immersion ice rescue suits reached out to Crosby and brought him in to safety.
