The crew on Engine 3 asked the 9-1-1 dispatcher to ask the occupants whether they were near the inside shoulder or the outside shoulder. They replied that they were near the inside shoulder with lane blockage.
Engine 3’s crew on arrival reported that the occupants were not trapped in their vehicle. Most several Arlington Heights Fire Department rescue vehicles were already committed to the I-90 tollway, but were told to return to quarters.
