Toronto Mayor Rob Ford addresses the media after admitting that he has smoked crack cocaine.
“Folks I have nothing left to hide. I would do anything, absolutely anything, to change the past; but the past is the past, and we must move forward.”
— Toronto Mayor Rob Ford
A video surfaced that purportedly showed Rob Ford smoking crack, but Ford initially denied using the drug. Toronto’s police chief Bill Blair recently confirmed that police now have a copy of the video.
Rob Ford’s brother Tornoto Councilman Doug Ford says the police chief is biased against his brother and should step down, because the police said he was “disappointed” at the contents of two videotapes, and that the videos are a “traumatic issue” for the city and its reputation.. He made the statement just hours after his brother admitted to smoking crack cocaine.
