On Sunday Kane County Sheriff’s Deputies are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 85 year old Aurora township man. On Sunday November 24, 2013 at approximately 1:00 pm Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a house in the 0-10 block of North Farnsworth in Aurora for a report of an 85-year-old male who has been missing since Friday. He had left his home on Friday afternoon to go for a walk in the Oakhurst Forest Preserve. He failed to return home and was eventually reported missing by family members.
Then on Monday, Kane County authorities learned that Enrique Huerta-Ruiz was facing a court date (December 9, 2013) for a trial for allegedly sexually assaulting a girl younger than age 13 during a six-year period starting in 2004. Huerta-Ruiz was charged in June 2011. His bail was set at $250,000, and a family member posted bond with $25,000 cash.
Police believe he may have fled to Mexico.
As of 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, Kane County Sheriff’s office has not updated the public about the sexual assault details through the Citizen Observer program ALERTS PAGE.
