Satellite images show thatmost of the United States is under cloud cover — especially the Midwest. The area is forecast to remain cloudy until a decrease in cloud cover begins about noon Friday.
A wind shift from southwest to northeast is expected today about 3:00 p.m. The winds are expected to be light at 5-8 MPH, but increase about 2:00 a.m. with gusts up to 25 MPH overnight.
Less than 0.25 inch of rain is expected to fall — starting about 3:00 p.m. until midnight. Some light rain may continue until about 5:00 a.m. Friday. A little snow is also possible between 3:00 am. and noon Friday — little or no accumulation with an overnight low of 35-37 degrees. Wind chill low is expected to be 24 degrees at 9:00 a.m. Friday with north winds gusting at about 24-25 mph.
