Satellite images show a trailing edge of cloud cover is visible — southwest to northeast. The cloud cover is moving easterly with the trailing edge passing the northwest tip of Illinois at about 8:30 a.m. CST. Friday.
Temperatures are expected to fall throughout the day to 32 degrees at 6:00 p.m., 26 degrees at midnight and 22 degrees at 8:00 a.m. Saturday. The wind chill is forecast at 8 degrees at 8:00 a.m. Saturday’s forecast Wind Chill High is only 16 degrees.
Winds are expected to increase to 16-20 mph at about 8:00 a.m. Saturday with gusts 24 to 30 mph also starting at 8:00 a.m. Saturday and lasting through about 5:00 p.m.
