Introducing Wildcat from Boston Dynamics.
According to Boston Dynamics, WildCat is a four-legged robot being developed to run fast on all types of terrain. So far WildCat has run at about 16 mph on flat terrain using bounding and galloping gaits. The video shows WildCat’s best performance so far. WildCat is being developed by Boston Dynamics with funding from DARPA’s M3 program.
If you are a really fast human, it will take somewhere between 100 yards and one mile to run you down, if that is what it is programmed to do.
9 second 100 yard dash = 11.11 yards per second = 22.72 miles per hour.
4 minute mile = 15 miles per hour.
