Mount Prospect police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:25 PM Wednesday to a report of a house fire in the block of 200 South Main Street Mount Prospect, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics smoke coming from the basement of the home on Main Street. Firefighters arriving on the scene reported no smoke showing.
Firefighters reported the incident involved smoke coming from turning on the furnace for the first time during the season.
