Road construction has begun today at the triangle of Arlington Heights Road, Rand Road, and Palatine Road.
Apparently resurfacing work is underway, and initial work has begun in the southbound lanes of Arlington Heights Road near Rand Road. Callers report traffic is congested, and a Google map of the area with a traffic layer shows most congestion in the southbound lanes from Ivy Lane to Arlington Heights Road.
IDOT does not have information about the project on their official website. An Arlington Heights Public Works telephone receptionist also could not refer the inquiry about the construction project to any personnel within the Village of Arlington Heights. She stated “Arlington Heights does not have any information from IDOT about the work that IDOT does.” She referred The Cardinal to an IDOT telephone number that rang but was never answered.
