Arlington Heights police responded about 3:26 PM Saturday to a report of lewd behavior and disorderly conduct at Jewel-Osco, 440 East Rand Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that a man used a cell phone to display a lewd photo to a cashier.
A cashier reported that a man was going to make a purchase when he put his cell phone down and then the phone’s display lit up with a photo of a man’s penis and upper thigh.
The offender was described as a male/white in his mid-50s to early 60s, 5’11” with a thin build, graying brown hair, glasses, and a clean shaven wrinkled face. He was wearing a maroon polo shirt and Khaki pants.
The crime is reported to have occurred on September 28, 2013 at 3:25 p.m.
In a second similar incident, possibly the same subject struck again. Police received a report that a female bagger saw a cellphone in a handheld shopping basket with a similarly-described photo displayed.
The offender asked the female bagger in the checkout lane how to pronounce her name.
In the second incident, the offender was described as a male/white in his 40s with a slim build, brown hair, wearing a dark T-shirt and Khaki pants.
In either incident the offender was not recognized as a regular customer
The second crime is reported to have occurred at 5:56 p.m. on October 4, 2013.
