Arlington Heights police received a report about 3:51 AM Tuesday of a commercial burglary at Platinum Auto Detail, 1915 South Arlington Heights Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders burglarized a an auto detail business. Unknown offender(s) entered the business possibly through a garage door window which was found partially removed. They pried open the cash register drawer and left a small black box on the floor. Neither of them contained any cash. The only item which appears to be missing is a ring with five small interior lock keys on it. There is no damage or loss estimate.
The crime is reported to have occurred on Tuesday October 15, 2013 between 3:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
Another car business next door had an activated burglar alarm at 3:50 a.m., but the owner did not have the police responded, and instead the owner responded on his own at about 4:10 a.m. The owner discovered that unknown offender(s) pushed a garage door window into the second car business, but it does not appear that they gained entry. The damage estimate is $20.
