VIDEO: Car vs house crash with vehicle hitting rear porch from driveway at rear alley.
Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:50 PM Sunday to a report of a crash with injuries in the block of 700 North Dunton Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a car crashed into the porch of a house with possibly two people injured. Police and firefighter/paramedics discovered that a car hit the rear porch of a home where there is access from a rear alley.
Two women in the car were visiting the house to play cards, according to a neighbor. The driver accidentally hit the rear porch while parking in a rear alley driveway. The crash caused severe damage to the vehicle.
One woman was transported to Northwest Community Hospital. Air bag deployment on the passenger side starred the windshield.
A Village of Arlington Heights building inspector responded to the scene to check for structural damage. The steps to the porch were destroyed, but there was no word on any structural damage occurred to the house. Neighbors report the house was built in the 1800s.
