The trailing edge of clouds in northern Illinois is about at the Mississippi River as clouds move east. Clearing is expected to occur between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. with mostly sunny skies after 1:30 p.m. These are stratus clouds that are expected to burn off. Air this morning is muggy or clammy.
AIr temperature is much above the normal high of 68°F. Highs in the 80s are expected today from about 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
