In the top of the ninth during the Rockies – Giants game on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, something just shy of a baseball miracle happened. Colorado’s Todd Helton hit a foul ball into the stands. Virginia Smith, a mother of nine, grandmother of 16 and great-grandmother of 15, moved her baseball glove a few inches while she remained seated and caught the ball with ease. She stood up, did a little dance, exchanged some hugs, and did a few high-fives.
