Fox River Grove firefighters responded about 6:00 p.m. Sunday to a report of heavy black smoke coming from a house. By 6:15 p.m. firefighters called for a Second Alarm MABAS Box Alarm.
No injuries were reported, but several pets were reported missing.
Firefighters from Algonquin, Barrington, Carpentersville, Cary, Crystal Lake, Elgin, Fox Lake, Grayslake, Hebron, Hoffman Estates, Huntley, Lake Zurich, Lakewood, Marengo, McHenry, Mundelein, Nunda Rural, Palatine, Palatine Rural, Rolling Meadows, Schaumburg, Spring Grove, Wauconda, Wonder Lake, and others responded for mutual aid to Fox River Grove firefighters.
Smoke visible from Northwest Community Hospital south Pavilion on an upper floor at 6:21 p.m. Sunday while firefighters were battling an extra alarm house fire.
