Arlington Heights police received a report about 8:59 PM Thursday of a residential burglary in the block of 600 East Burr Oak Drive Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders forced open a rear door, entered the residence and removed items from two upstairs bedrooms.
Reported missing was a ruby/emerald/diamond necklace valued at $195, a cubic zirconium women’s watch of unknown value, a silver/diamond bracelet of an unknown value, a gold/ruby/diamond bracelet valued at $4,000, several pieces of costume jewelry, a men’s watch valued at $200, a woman’s onyx/diamond/gold ring with an unknown value, and approximately $250 cash.
A suspicious subject was seen walking slowly in front of the residence in the time frame of the residential burglary. The subject was described as a male/white in his late 30s to early 40s, an extremely thin build, light hair, and wearing a red shirt, beige pants and gym shoes.
The crime is reported to have occurred on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 between noon and 2:30 p.m.
