The couple Cody Johnson and Jordan Linne Graham, Only Married 8 Days
Cody Johnson, age 25, was reported missing by his employer on July 8 when he failed to show up for work.
Jordan Linn Graham, 22, lied to police after “the accident” that was not yet revealed, and said that Johnson left their house late on July 7 with unidentified friends in a dark-colored car with Washington license plates.
Graham was questioned a day later and on July 11 told a Glacier National Park ranger that she found Johnson’s body. She had said the location and the view, presumably at the top of the cliff, was something he wanted to see before he died. That seemed a little strange to investigators, and the questioning got a little more intense.
She made an initial court appearance on Monday, September 9, 2013 before US Magistrate Judge Jeremiah C. Lynch.
Jordan Linn Graham could face life in prison if convicted in the July 7 murder of Cody Lee Johnson.
Graham told police they started to argue and at one point she turned to walk away when Johnson grabbed her by the arm.
A court affidavit states that when Graham turned around, he removed his hand from Graham’s arm. In anger Graham said she pushed Johnson with both hands in the back, which caused him to fall face first off the cliff.”
Court documents also say Graham was having second thoughts about their 8-day-old marriage.
According to a criminal complaint, Jordan Linn Graham told a friend she had second thoughts about marrying Cody Johnson.
