Chicago weather radar [LIVE RADAR] shows a very thin line of precipitation passing through northern Illinois. Very light precipitation passed through Arlington Heights about 8:50-9:05 a.m. Also, a thin line of clouds coincides with the radar precipitation image. Otherwise, much of Illinois and Wisconsin is clear. Half and half clouds and clear skies expected today with a slight increase in clouds toward night. Winds will peak at about 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with some gusts to 16 mph at about 3:00 p.m., then winds will calm down. Winds will pickup up again after midnight and shift to the norheast with gusts to 16 mph.
A cold front coming down from Wisconsin will pass through northern Illinois this evening or tonight. That sets the air temperature Sunday to only reach a high of about 76°F. Monday bounces back in the 80s, and most of the upcoming week will be warm or hot.
