Brief heavy rain occurred about 4:50 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. this Friday morning. Less than 0.5 inch of rain is expected in Arlington Heights and in the northwest suburbs. Scattered thundershowers are likely through mid-morning, and are likely again today after 1:00 p.m. Heavier rain is expected in southern suburbs later today and tonight.
Pleasant temperatures are again expected through Monday. The best chance for hitting 80°F is today, if any sun breaks through the clouds. Clouds cover most of Illinois today. High humidity is expected overnight.
