Darlene’s Tavern is the bomb — or practice bomb.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office bomb squad was responded to 5124 Sudlersville Road in Sudlersville after Maryland State Police confirmed an unknown military type device was dropped and partially buried in the paved parking lot.
An object fell from the sky about 9:20 p.m. Thursday. Firefighters initially cleared away some debris, and then discovered what looked like a military bomb. Escavation equipment was needed to totally remove the bomb from the parking lot pavement.
