Illinois State police and Itasca and Schaumburg firefighter/paramedics responded about 10:13 AM Friday to 41.993149,-88.023498 (I-290 WB just west of Devon Avenue near Elk Grove Village, IL). Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that at least three and possibly five vehicles crashed on westbound I-290 south of Biesterfield Rd.

Police reported the crash is just west of Devon Avenue. Lane 1 and Lane 2 were shut down during the crash operations. A witness reported the crash involved a rollover in the center lane.
Heavy traffic was observed westbound (northbound) on I-290.
