Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:22 AM Wednesday to a report of a man slumped over the wheel at the insection of New Wilke Road and Kirchhoff Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police discovered Michael J Dazzo, age 38, of the 1300 block of Longford, Elgin IL. The male driver was found in a white Ford SUV stopped at the intersection and he appeared to be asleep. When he awoke he was disoriented and sweating profusely. When asked to exit the vehicle, he opened the door and fell to the ground. The officer observed a small cellophane bag containing a white powdery substance on the driver seat. Six more bags were found when Dazzo was searched. According to Arlington Heights police, he did not require medical assistance.
Dazzo was charged with possession of Methamphetamine and DUI drugs.
Court date for Michael J. Dazzo is September 6, 2013.
