Criminal defacement/graffiti on utility box near the southeast corner of Arlington Heights Road and Hawthorne Street (More photos/comment on Facebook).
Arlington Heights police received a report about 1:07 PM Monday of criminal damage to property at Arlington Heights Road and Hawthorne Street Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders criminally defaced a utility box on the south side of East Hawthorne Street, just east of Arlington Heights Road. Unknown offender(s) used black paint to spray the word “CReeR” or “CREER” on several utility boxes.
The criminal defacement is reported to have been discovered at about 1:05 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2013. The markings were cleaned off of the utility box by Monday evening.
Additional locations with similar criminal defacement:
55 South Vail Avenue on the east side of the building. The crime is reported to have occurred between Tuesday August 6, 2013 and Wednesday August 7, 2013.
Euclid Avenue and Ridge Avenue on the northwest corner. The crime was discovered on Friday August 9, 2013 at 11:50 a.m.
Elm Street, just west of Kennicott Avenue.

disappointing. Thanks for posting. A box by my house was also tagged with the same mark. I just decided to call it into the police after seeing this. Hope they catch this bored teenager and he/she is able to express themselves to a judge.
