Illinois State police and Long Grove FPD firefighter/paramedics responded about 1:01 PM Monday to a report of a rollover crash with injuries at Route 53 and Lake Cook Road near Long Grove, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a vehicle crash involved a rollover of a semi-trailer truck. First firefighters on the scene reported a semi-trailer truck on its roof with no entrapment. The truck driver was up and walking around when state troopers arrived, and was transported by Palatine Fire Department paramedics to Northwest Community Hospital.
The crash happened on the ramp from northbound Route 53 to westbound Lake Cook Road.
The cab and trailer were completely upside down. The wreck was expected to be there for an extended time (not cleared as of 3:10 p.m.). All northbound traffic of IL 53 was forced to eastbound Lake Cook Road.
