Mount Prospect police responded about 6:00 AM Monday to a strong arm robbery at 1500 South Linneman Road Mount Prospect, IL. Police received a report that a 93-year-old woman was robbed by two men who took her purse and fled on foot.
The offenders were described as two male/Hispanic subjects, about 18-years-old. One subject was wearing a light brown shirt and dark pants.
Mount Prospect police urge anyone with information about this crime to call 847-870-5656 or make an anonymous tip by calling Crime Stopper tipsters 847-590-7867 can receive a reward of up to $1,000 after an arrest and prosecution.
Criminals of this type of crime are at an advantage of fleeing without capture within police department jurisdictions that dispatch using encrypted secret police radio communications. Neighborhood watch groups, or citizens that might listen to police scanners or police scanner smartphone apps are without the opportunity to be aware of this type of fleeing criminal.
