On June 30, 2013, nineteen members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, part of the Prescott Fire Department, lost their lives while battling the 2,000 acre Yarnell Hill fire that ignited Friday June 28th south of Prescott Arizona (See The Cardinal Nineteen Members of Granite Mountain Hotshots from Prescott Killed in Rapid Moving Wildfire Near Yarnell, Arizona).
Tim Kelliher, President of Image Apparel Solutions in Wheeling, has developed a benefit T-shirt that is connected with the United Phoenix Firefighters Association. His son Taylor Kelliher is a Golden Eagle Hotshot (California) wildland firefighter, who had interviewed with the Granite Mountain Hotshots earlier this year and met some of the crew that lost their lives on June 30, 2013.
This limited edition memorial t-shirt was created with the support of the United Phoenix Fire Fighters Association and the City of Prescott, Arizona to help support the relief fund established for the families of the fallen firefighters. The t-shirt is available for purchase now through July 31, 2013 for $25.00 each (includes shipping & taxes). All profits from the sale and additional donations will go to the relief fund.
