Arlington Heights police responded about 10:00 PM Monday to a report of a suspicious person at the Target Store parking lot, 1700 East Rand Rd Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown suspect approached a female complainant, a High School District 214 teacher, from behind, covered her eyes and said “Guess who.” The suspect removed his hands from the complainants eyes and began talking to the complainant. The suspect asked the complainant several questions and acted as if he knew her. The complainant did not know the suspect and she felt uncomfortable talking to him. The complainant ended her conversation with the suspect and left the area.
The suspect had previously entered the Target store near Rand Road and Thomas Street across from John Hersey High School. The photo at left shows the suspect leaving the Target store, approximately four minutes before the complainant leaves. The vehicle pictured was used by the suspect. It appears to be a dark colored Plymouth/Dodge mini van (Late 90’s- early 2000), with a missing passenger side front hub cap.
Arlington Heights police urge any citizen having information pertaining to the suspect’s identity, or any citizen that wants additional information pertaining to this incident to contact Detective Pete Hamrick 847-878-3929 or [email protected].
