Arlington Heights police received a report about 6:01 AM Friday of a vehicle burglary in the block of 1500 South Yale Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders burglarized a silver 2009 Hyundai Sonata. A window was shattered and the in-dash radio was taken. The radio setup included a Motorola Roadster Bluetooth In-Car Speakerphone.
The entire radio console, navigation, XM Radio, CD player and climate control system were missing. All trim and gear shift material were also removed and taken.
The value of the material and all items were not known at the time of the report. The bluetooth speakerphone, valued at $100, was taken from the car’s visor.
Someone also opened the gate to the backyard.
A neighbor heard noise in the victim’s front yard about 2:00 a.m. Friday and saw a shorter white male wearing shorts and a sweatshirt walking around the yard. The neighbor thought the person was the actual neighbor in the yard and did not call police.
The crime is reported to have occurred between June 13, 2013 at 9 p.m. Friday June 14, 2013 at 6:00 a.m.
