There are road closures at Dundee and Arlington Heights Road and at Wilke Road just south of Rand Road. Route 53 is at a standstill in both directions between Lake Cook Road and Higgins Road. flooding is reported across Route 53 south of Dundee Road.
Rand Road is down to a single lane in each direction because of overflowing water just east of Kennicott Avenue.
The Edens Expressway has been closed down at Pratt because of flooding.
Dundee Road eastbound was closed at Kennicott Avenue, repoened at about 8:30 a.m.

Rescue operations using boats and swift water techs was underway on St. Mary’s Parkway east of Raupp Boulevard about 8:30 a.m.
