Arlington Heights police responded about 1:30 PM Sunday to a report of crash with no injuries at Kennicott Avenue and Grove Street Arlington Heights, IL. Police reported a crash with moderate damage just northwest of Pioneer Park Sunday.
A witness reported that a Mercury Grand Marquis was westbound on Grove Street and hit the side of a tan Toyota minivan that failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection. The minivan was northbound on Kennicott Avenue.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene. The Toyota minivan had a broken axle, while the Mercury Marquis seemed driveable.
The stop sign regulating the opposite direction from the stop sign that was ignored was damaged when the minivan ran over it.
