Storms are heading to the Mid-Atlantic Thursday morning, after dropping rain overnight from Wisconsin to Ohio. However, the storm is not as strong as was forecast.
At least two tornadoes touched down in Northern Iowa, as a massive storm pushes from the Upper Midwest towards the Mid-Atlantic states. Emergency Management officials say at least two businesses and a home were completely destroyed.
Com Ed reported 34,078 customers without power, including 31,033 customers in the southern suburbs.
Indiana Michigan Power reported more than 2,200 Indiana customers without power. Most of those customers were in Allen County and St. Joseph County.
Storms from yesterday’s thunderstorm streak reached Pennsylvania and Ohio this morning, but no tornados were reported there — but severe thunderstorms damaged homes, trees and utility poles.
