Transcript of the 9-1-1 call placed Monday May 6, 2013 by Amanda Berry — a woman missing since 2003, when she was 16.
[Cleveland police report missing teens Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight were found Monday in a west side house at 2207 Seymour Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio.
Citizen Rescuer Charles Ramsey: “I heard screaming… And I see this girl going nuts trying to get outside. I go on the porch and she said ‘Help me get out. I’ve been here a long time.’ I figure it was domestic violence dispute. (He kicked the bottom of the door to help the victim crawl out of a door that was apparently locked at the top.) She comes out with a little girl and says ‘Call 911, my name is Amanda Berry’… When she told me, it didn’t register.
Amanda Berry was last seen in 2003 when she was almost 17-years-old and called her sister to say she was getting a ride home from work at the Burger King on West 110th Street and Lorain Avenue. Her mother died of heart failure in 2006. (Missing: 4/21/2003)
Gina DeJesus was last seen April 2, 2004 last seen around West 105 Street and Lorain Avenue in Cleveland when she was 14-years-old. She was reported missing while walking home from Wilbur Wright Middle School. (Missing: 4/02/2003)

Um, his name is Ariel Castro.

I’m Amanda Berry. I’ve been on the news for the last 10 years.

Uh, Ariel Castro.
Dispatcher: And is he white, black or Hispanic?
Caller: Uh, Hispanic.
Dispatcher: What’s he wearing?
Caller (frustrated):
I don’t know, ’cause he’s not here right now. That’s why I ran away.
Dispatcher:
When he left, what was he wearing?
Caller: Who knows (unintelligible).

The police are on their way; talk to them when they get there.

Cleveland resident Charles Ramsey thought he was witnessing a domestic dispute when he heard a woman screaming, trying to get out of a house. He was shocked to find that three women were allegedly held hostage near his home for years.
Three brothers connected to the disappearances of Berry, DeJesus and Knight are in custody. The men, Ariel Castro, age 52, and his brothers age 50 and age 54, are expected to be charged within the next 36 hours.
