A former Prospect High School choir teacher, Kenneth Martin, was charged this week with aggravated criminal sexual abuse
Kenneth Martin, 34, of the 1500 block of West 83rd Place, was arrested by Palos Heights police Monday, April 1, 2013.
Martin was a music teacher at Chicago Christian High School in Palos Heights, when he began sexual relationships with two students in 2009, according to police. Martin used the name Kenneth Whitney when he worked at the school, police said.
Kenneth Martin or Kenneth Whitney worked at Prospect High School from 2005 until 2008. He was the replacement for Jason Krigas, who was convicted of sexual abuse in 2006 after it was discovered he was groping and fondling a female student in a school copier office in 2004. Krigas was fired by District 214 in 2005. Krigas was sentenced to three years in prison.
One of the victims of Kenneth Martin was 16-years-old. The relationship was reported to have lasted a considerable length of time.
