Elk Grove Village police responded about 1:15 PM Sunday to a report of a pursuit with a red camaro starting at La Quinta, 1900 Oakton St, Elk Grove . An Elk Grove police officer reported a red camaro driver ran from a police squad car. The driver of the red camaro was described as a male/black subject.
The pursuit headed eastbound on Oakton Street. The driver turned through the 7-ELEVEN gas station/parking lot and headed southbound on Elmhurst Road at speeds of about 70 mph.
By 1:18 p.m. the driver of the Camaro was approaching Greenleaf on Southbond Elmhurst Road. One minute later police reported following the Camaro southbound on Busse Road at Devon Avenue, and then westbound on Devon Avenue. The pursuit was terminated at about 1:19 for safety reasons.
The Camaro was followed from a distance and was last seen headed northbound on Busse Road after a turn around.
Another police officer at a stop light at Landmeier Road and Busse Road reported the red camaro traveling northbound and going “well over 110” mph.
