A warm March sun is forecast to win over stubborn winter air chilled with only light winds from the northwest and north.
The highest temperatures on the thermometer will struggle between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. while clouds increase in the afternoon. It may feel warmest from about noon until 3:00 p.m. when the Spring sun his highest during the day and before some clouds roll in.
The normal high for March 22 is 49°F. The normal high for March 23 and 24 is 50°F.
Friday’s high is forecast to be about 13°F below normal, but will feel nice compared to the breezy, cold weather we’ve experienced all week. A jet stream that is dipping down and blocking warm air from heading north into our region is the reason for the below normal temperatures.
